Alexa/Google Compatibility Support

Dear Valued Lorex Customer,

We hope this message finds you well. We would like to inform you of a service change by our provider, which will only affect Lorex Cirrus App customers, specifically system compatibility with 3rd party voice services such as Google and Alexa. This will take into affect on Wednesday August 16, 2023. To correct this issue, we have the following solutions:

  1. For the 2K (L4248) and 4K (L8559) NVR systems, please upgrade to the latest firmware, by following the in-app pop up message.

  2. For older systems listed below, we unfortunately do not have a firmware upgrade. The performance of these systems will not be affected, only the Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant functionality will not work.

We highly recommend keeping your devices’ firmware up to date to benefit from the latest features, improvements and compatibility.
