Can I use any Cat5e or Cat6 cable with my PoE Switch?

Yes, but it is recommended that you use a solid copper Ethernet cable for best performance.


How do I power on my PoE Switch?

Connect the AC power cord to the back of the switch and to an electrical outlet (preferably grounded). When powered on, the LED indicators flash for one second, representing system start-up. The power LED indicator will then turn green.


What length Ethernet cables can be used?

Ethernet cables up to 328 ft /100 m can be used.

A Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch is a device that allows an Ethernet cable to provide both data and power to an IP camera.
