If your email notifications are not working, check your email configuration settings, DVR / NVR email settings, and DVR / NVR TCP / IP settings.
To check your email configuration settings:
- Check your junk or spam folder to see if your email notifications are being moved there.
- Log into your email account from a different platform (such as a PC / Mac, smartphone, or tablet) to verify that your account information is accurately being entered on your DVR / NVR.
- If using a Gmail account:
- Ensure IMAP / POP is set to ON.
- Ensure Less Secure Apps is enabled
- Verify the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server and port being used. For Gmail, this would be smtp.gmail.com/Port465
- Create a different email address and then update your email configurations in your DVR / NVR to ensure the SMTP server is not blocking your original email set-up.
