How do I reset the smart lightbulb camera?

The reset button is hidden just below the camera lens. To find it, gently tilt the lens upwards, and the reset button/microSD card cover will reveal itself. It is designed to be out of sight when the camera is in its normal position, keeping it sleek and discreet.

  1. Ensure the smart lightbulb camera is powered on.
  2. Gently tilt the camera lens upwards to reveal the reset/microSD card cover. Remove the cover.
  3. Press and hold the reset button until you hear an audio prompt.
  4. Quickly replace the reset/microSD card cover.
  5. Wait for the status LED to flash green and the audio prompt to confirm the reset.

? Note: A solid green light means the reset was unsuccessful. Repeat the steps if necessary.


How do I enable hotspot mode on the smart lightbulb camera?

Hotspot mode allows your smart lightbulb camera to create a temporary Wi-Fi network so you can reconnect it to the internet if needed.

To Enable Hotspot Mode:

  1. Ensure the smart lightbulb camera is powered on.
  2. Gently tilt the camera lens upwards to reveal the reset/microSD card cover. Remove the cover.
  3. Quickly press the reset button once (do not hold it).
  4. Wait for the audio prompt and the status LED to flash green indicating that hotspot mode is enabled.
  5. Join the lightbulb camera’s hotspot. Open your phone’s Wi-Fi settings and select the network starting with “SL300-XXXX.” If it doesn’t appear right away, wait up to 2 minutes.

Once hotspot mode is active, the camera will broadcast a temporary Wi-Fi network. You can use the Lorex App to connect your phone to this network and reconfigure the camera’s internet settings.


How do I insert or remove the microSD card from the smart lightbulb camera?

The microSD card slot is hidden just below the camera lens. To find it, gently tilt the lens upwards, and the reset button/microSD card cover will reveal itself. It is designed to be out of sight when the camera is in its normal position, keeping it sleek and discreet.

Can I change the color temperature of the light? No, the color temperature cannot be changed. The light is set to a cool white temperature of 6500K.


Will the lighting schedule resume after a power outage or Internet disruption? If the light was ON before the power outage, it will automatically turn ON once power is restored. Internet disruptions do not affect the light scheduling, as the schedule operates independently of the Internet.


Where can I find the Device ID?

  1. On the device itself: Look for a label with a QR code and the Device ID number printed underneath it.
  2. Inside the packaging box: Check the inner tray for the same label with the QR code and Device ID number.

What types of smart motion detection does the smart lightbulb camera offer? The built-in AI processing provides person and vehicle detection, helping you capture important activity.


What is the Auto-Tracking Feature? The Auto-Tracking feature in the camera automatically follows and records moving objects in its view. When motion is detected, the top camera pans and tilts to keep the object centered, ensuring you capture all activity. However, if more than one object is present, the auto-tracking feature will not activate, as it is designed to focus on one object at a time. This feature is ideal for monitoring large areas and can be easily enabled in the Lorex app.
