This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing your E920SD IP Wired Security Camera.
What is included:
Turret E920SD Camera:
- 4K+ Turret Camera
- Anchors & Screws (4×)
- Mounting Template
- Allen Key
Camera Placement Tips:
- Take into consideration what you want to monitor and where is the best coverage area.
- Place your camera close to the area of interest.
- Point your camera where there is the least amount of obstructions (i.e. tree branches).
- Install your camera in a location that is difficult for thieves and vandals to reach.
- The best position is 10 ft (3 m) above ground, angled 15° down.
- Secure cabling so that it is not exposed or easily cut.
Mounting your E920SD Turret Camera:
- Use the mounting template to mark screw holes. Drill holes and insert the drywall anchors. If routing cables through the wall or ceiling, drill a hole for the camera cable as well.
- Hold the mounting ring in your left hand and the camera base in your right. Rotate the mounting ring counterclockwise while holding the base steady to separate them.
- (Optional) Rotate the camera to access the reset cover. Use a PH1 screwdriver to remove it, insert a microSD card, and reattach the cover.
- Pass the camera’s cable through the base and connect it to your Ethernet cable. If routing through a wall, do so at this step.
- Use the included screws to attach the camera base to the surface. If routing cables along a surface, clip open the cable notch and pass the cable through it.
- Use the T10 Hex key to loosen the adjustment screw. Rotate the camera to your desired angle, then tighten the screw to lock it in place.
Once the angle is set, firmly tighten the mounting ring onto the base by hand.
- Remove the vinyl film from the camera lens once your installation is complete.
Connecting your Camera:
Connect your camera directly to your recorder using an Ethernet extension cable.
If exposed to regular precipitation, seal the ethernet connection with silicone and electrical tape.
