This article covers general app preferences and privacy settings.

How to Access App Settings

  1. Open the Lorex Pro App.
  2. Tap the Settings Tab (bottom right corner of the main screen).

This will open the full App Settings menu.


Snapshots and Recordings Album

This album stores all the snapshots and manual recordings you capture while using the app.

How to Access Album:

  • Settings > Snapshots & Recordings.

You'll see two separate folders:

  • Snapshots: Still images captured during live view or playback.
  • Recordings: Manually recorded videos.

How to Manage Files:

  1. Tap the Edit button ().
  2. Select one or multiple files.
  3. Choose from:
    1. Share (): Send file to other apps or contacts.
    2. Save (): Download file directly to your phone's gallery.
    3. Delete (): Permanently remove the file from the app.
Tip: You can quickly clear up storage by deleting unwanted files directly from this screen.


Using Favorites

Favorites allows you to quickly access specific cameras or groups of cameras. 

To Create a Favorite:

  1. Tap Settings > Favorites.
  2. Tap the Add Favorite button (+).
  3. Select which camera channel you want included.
  4. Enter a custom name for your Favorite camera channel.
  5. Tap Save.

Your Favorite channel will now appear in the Favorites list for fast access anytime.


App Settings (Advanced Options)

How to Access:

  • Settings > App Settings.

Configure:

  • PTZ Speed: Adjusts how fast your PTZ cameras respond (1 slowest, 10 fastest).
  • Continuous Snapshot: Set how many snapshots are captured per second when manually taking continuous snapshots (range 1x to 5x).
  • Noise Reduction: Controls how much digital noise is filtered out from the video (Off to 5 - highest).
  • Event Recording Duration: Sets how long recordings last when triggered by motion or alarms (range: 10 seconds to 5 minutes).
  • Password Protection (App Lock): You can add an extra layer of security by setting a password to open the app.
Note: If you forget your app password, you'll need to delete and reinstall the Lorex Pro App to reset.


General Settings

  • Region selection.
  • Appearance Mode (Light/Dark Mode).
  • Clear Cache option.


Privacy Policy & About

  • Access Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and App version info.
