Accessories: Wired mouse not working

Your DVR / NVR system menus are controlled using a USB wired mouse. If you plug in a USB mouse and it is not responding, it may be related to a malfunction in the mouse itself or a need to reconnect your mouse with your system.

LIMITATION: Wireless mice are not supported. Wireless mice require special drivers or software to be installed in order to function. Current DVR / NVR systems do not support the required drivers and software.

To troubleshoot your mouse not responding:

  • Check that the laser on the bottom of the mouse is functioning, if there is no laser try installing another mouse.
  • Test the mouse on a different device to confirm it is working.
  • With the mouse plugged in, power cycle your DVR / NVR. To power cycle your recorder, please power off and disconnect the power source for approximately 30 seconds. Reconnect, and power on the recorder.
  • Connect the mouse to another USB port on the DVR / NVR system.
