This article explains how to view, search, and organize motion detection and smart detection events in the Lorex Pro App.

What Are Events?
Events are recordings triggered by:
- Motion Detection (standard movement)
- Smart Detection (person, vehicle, face, package, etc.)
- Advanced Rules (tripwire, loitering, missing object, abandoned object, parking detection, etc.)
The Lorex Pro App allows you to quickly access and manage these recorded events.
How to Access Events
- Open the Lorex Pro App.
- Tap the Events tab (located in the center of the bottom menu).
Viewing Events
- Open the Events tab.
- You'll see a list of recent events, organized by:
- System Name - Camera name
- Detection Type (motion, person, vehicle, etc.)
- Date & Time of each event
- A red dot next to events you haven't viewed yet
- Tap any camera entry in the list.
- On the next screen, tap the desired date in the calendar.
- Tap on any event to begin playback.
- Once playback starts, use playback controls: pause, speed, frame advance, mute, snapshot, clip, etc.
Managing Events
Mark Events as Read
- Option 1: Tap Mark All as Read at the top to clear all red-dot indicators.
- Option 2: Watch individual events to mark as read.
Deleting Events
- Swipe Left: Swipe left on any event in the list to delete it individually.
- Bulk Delete:
- Tap the Edit button (
).
- Tap Select All.
- Tap Delete at the bottom.
- Tap the Edit button (
Snapshots and Recordings Album
This album stores all the snapshots and manual recordings you capture while using the app.
How to Access Album

- Settings > Snapshots & Recordings.
You'll see two separate folders:
- Snapshots: Still images captured during live view or playback.
- Recordings: Manually recorded videos.
How to Manage Files
- Tap the Edit button (
).
- Select one or multiple files.
- Choose from:
- Share (
): Send file to other apps or contacts.
- Save (
): Download file directly to your phone's gallery.
- Delete (
): Permanently remove the file from the app.
