What do I need to set up the lightbulb camera?
You’ll need:
- A compatible E26 light socket with power turned on.
- A smartphone with the Lorex Connect app (iOS or Android).
- A 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi network with at least 10 Mbps upload and download speed.
- A microSD card (up to 512 GB, V10 speed, FAT32 format) for local recording.
How does the lightbulb camera connect during setup?
The lightbulb camera uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.0) to pair with your phone during setup. Once paired, it connects to your home Wi-Fi network for ongoing use.
Where can I find the Device ID?
You can locate the Device ID in two ways:
- On the device itself: Look for the Device ID number printed on it.
- In the Lorex Connect app: Go to
Home > on the camera's image preview, tap

How do I reset the lightbulb camera?
The reset button is just below the camera lens inside the reset/microSD card compartment.
- Make sure the lightbulb camera is powered on.
- Tilt the lens upward and remove the cover.
- Press and hold the reset button until you hear the audio prompt.
- Release the button and replace the cover.
- The status LED light will fade while resetting. Wait for it to restart.
How do I remove/insert the microSD card?
Supports up to 512 GB (V10, FAT32). The microSD card slot is just below the camera lens inside the reset/microSD card compartment.
- Power off the lightbulb camera, or stop recording in the app.
- Tilt the lightbulb camera lens upward to expose the reset/microSD card cover. Remove the cover.
- To remove: Press gently until the card pops out, then pull it out.
- To insert: Slide the card (label side down) into the slot until it clicks.
- Replace the cover securely.
- If prompted, format the microSD.
What do the status LED lights mean?
The Status LED, located next to the camera lens, displays the current state of your smart lightbulb camera, such as power status, network connectivity, or readiness to pair with the app.

How do I pan & tilt the lightbulb camera in Live view?
- From Live view, tap
Pan & Tilt.
- Tap the on-screen control pad to move the camera left, right, up, or down.

Reset pan & tilt to return the camera to its default position.
How do I save and use presets?
- Move the camera to your preferred view.
