Lorex Connect App - Live View & Playback

Important: App screens may look different depending on your device model, firmware version, and app updates. The instructions below are meant as a general guide.

Your Lorex Connect app gives you two powerful ways to stay connected to your security system: Live view for real-time monitoring and Playback for reviewing past recordings. This guide walks you through how to access these features, control your cameras, and find exactly the footage you need.

Live View - Watching Your Cameras in Real Time 

To access Live view: From the  Home tab, then tap your camera's image preview.

Using On-Screen Controls

Note: Your camera may have different options depending on the model.
Resolution

Change video quality.
Audio Muted
On

Listen-in and adjust volume.
Full screen

Expand the video.
Playback Live view / Playback

Switch between Live view and Playback.
Snapshot

Take a photo.
Record

Start manual recording. Tap again to stop recording.
Light
Turn the light on/off.
Brightness

Adjust brightness.
Siren

Activate the siren.
Talk

Use 2-Way Talk.
Respond

Send a pre-recorded quick response.
Pan / TiltMove the camera left, right, up or down. Save or reset pan/tilt positions.
Note: Some models, like the FL301 Series - 2K Floodlight Camera, support Pan only.


Playback - Reviewing Past Recordings

To access playback: From Live view, tap  Playback, or tap the Playback button from Home.


Finding Specific Recordings

  • Tap  Today to open the calendar and choose a date. 
  • Choose how to view recordings: 
    •  List View: Shows clips with image previews and time.
    •  Timeline View: Shows recordings across the hours of the day.


Narrowing Results with Filters

  1. Filter by detection types: Person, sound, vehicle, package, animal, motion.
    Note: Your camera may have different options depending on the model.
  2. Filter by time of day: Morning, afternoon, evening, night. 
  3. Filter by date or range.
  4. Tap Apply filters.
