Lorex Connect App - Events

Important: App screens may look different depending on your device model, firmware version, and app updates. The instructions below are meant as a general guide.

Events is your hub for all camera activity (person, sound, vehicle, package, animal, sound.) plus system notices. Use it to quickly review, filter, share, or delete alerts and jump straight into Playback.

Open Events

To access Events: Tap the  Events tab at the bottom of the app.


Browse Alerts

  • Tap a device to see its list of events.
  • Each event shows an image preview, detection type, time, and a red dot if it hasn't been viewed yet.
  • Tap an event to open Playback.

Quick actions on an event:

  • Swipe left to Share or Delete.
  • TapSettings to Mark all as read, Delete all, or Edit.


Playback an Event

When you tap an event, it opens in the Playback screen.

 

  • Use the controls to play, pause, or adjust playback speed and audio volume. 
  • Scroll through the timeline or event list to jump between recordings. 
  • Tap  Today to narrow down results by detection type or time of day.


Filter Your Results

Filters make it easy to find the clips you care about. 

  • Detection types: Choose Person, Sound, Vehicle, Package, Animal, Motion.
    Note: Your camera may have different options depending on the model.
  • Time of day: Morning, Afternoon, Evening, or Night. 
  • Tap Apply filters to update your list.


Share or Save a Clip

You can share or save a video clip from an event.

  • Tap  Share to open sharing options. 
  • Choose Save Video, Save to Files, or send through apps like Messages or Mail


Edit or Delete Events

  • Tap Edit inSettings
  • Select multiple events, then choose: 
    • Mark as read: Clear red dots. 
    • Delete: Remove selected events. 
Note: Deleting an event removes it from Events but does not erase the underlying recording if it’s still stored on the microSD card.


System Notifications

System shows account- and device-related notifications, such as: 

  • Shared user invites. 
  • Shared access revoked. 
  • Other system updates.
