Modified on Thu, Oct 9 at 2:39 PM

Important: App screens may look different depending on your device model, firmware version, and app updates. The instructions below are meant as a general guide.

Detection Settings let you choose how and when your cameras detect activity, send alerts, and trigger lights or sirens. You can also create Motion Zones so your camera only alerts you about activity in important areas.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Tips to Reduce Unwanted Alerts

  • Select only Person alerts in Settings > Device settings > Notifications & alerts.
  • Decrease the Detection sensitivity in Settings > Device settings > Detection settings; increase only if events are missed.
  • Use Motion Zones to exclude streets, sidewalks, or moving trees.
  • Prefer Person & Vehicle detection over general motion in busy areas.
